India's largest integrated stainless steel producer Jindal Stainless has received approval from the Registrar of Companies to rename the company as JSL Ltd.
“The company has received the certificate dated 23 September, issued by the Registrar of Companies, NCT of Delhi and Haryana, New Delhi consequent upon change of name of the company from Jindal Stainless Ltd to JSL Ltd,'' it said in a filing to the Bomba y Stock Exchange.
The OP Jindal Group-company also said it would float a subsidiary company JSL Ventures PTE Ltd in Singapore which would control all its global mining operations.
JSL Ltd Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Ratan Jindal had said the company was looking to secure raw material resources abroad and it had entered into a tie-up with Indonesia's Antam for nickel smelting. It would also set up a ferro-chrome plant in Vietnam in collaboration with its government.
