Wellman Thermal Services (WTS) have designed, manufactured and installed an Industrial Roller Heating Furnace in Scandinavia worth over ￡3 million.
The furnace is capable of handling individual loads of 12 ton, is 60m long and produces up to a width of 3.4m in its Hardening and Tempering process.
In the design of the WTS furnace, high temperature Nickel/Chrome rollers and individual roller drivers are used to provide a stronger, lighter and more sustainable end product.
The range of steels produced by the WTS furnace are utilized in the heavy automobile, aerospace and processing industries where durability is the highest priority.
In addition to  WTS's design, build and install capability is the Refurbishment and Spares Division.  WTS also incorporates the following brands; Birlec, British Furnaces, CGE, Gibbons, Incandescent and Metalectric.
Wellman traces its origins back to 1904 and still holds the original designs for all the companies it incorporates and is capable of upgrading and supplying spares for every furnace supplied worldwide.
It is not unusual to find these furnaces still in use after 60 years so this service is invaluable to all end users.
