Metal Bulletin Events and SMR have announced the dates of the 11th International Stainless & Special Steel Summit which will take place in Stockholm on the 12th -14th of September.

After a decade in which China has almost single-handedly re-shaped the global stainless steel industry, European, U.S. and Asian (outside China) companies have had no choice but to adapt and re-size to balance regional demand with supply, in order to return to sustainable profitability. This year's summit will examine the fundamentals of the current industry through seperate sessions covering raw materials, flat products, long products, and tool and engineering steels. A dedicated technology session will explain innovations in melting and remelting (ESR,VAR), refining, rolling and finishing.   More here
